Overview
- Two year long scheme offering experience in a wide variety of environments and roles
- Starting salary of £25,000 with excellent benefits including a company car
- Ideal for applicants based in the Midlands with regular travel between Milton Keynes, Dudley, Shropshire and the north west
Who we’re looking for
You must have either achieved or be on track to achieve an upper second class honours degree (2:1) or above in an engineering-based subject. We are open to supporting those with degrees not directly related to technical design or construction who wish to re-train at degree or post-graduate level. It is also crucial that you are an energetic individual, open to learning and willing to explore the many different career pathways across the Group.
What the scheme will involve
The Whittan Graduate Scheme follows a carefully designed two-year programme focused on some of our core engineering-related roles within the Group, from sales and business development to design and technical.
The first year will involve key placements with more specific time focused in your area of preference (either sales or technical design). The second year will see you move into a more structured day-to-day role, adding true value to your learning and to the organisation. This will expose graduates to all areas of the business in the UK as well as key areas in the wider Group across Europe. This includes the opportunity to experience our factory in Bilboa, Spain and the nearby technical engineering office, in addition to meeting the teams across France, Germany, Holland and Belgium.
At the end of the two-year programme, should you have progressed in accordance with our structured competency framework, you are guaranteed to be placed into a substantive and permanent role within our organisation in accordance with your area preference.
