Mann+Hummel
The Mann+Hummel Group was established in Ludwigsburg, in southwest Germany in 1941. With 41 locations all over the world and 14,500 employees, Mann+Hummel is one of the major corporations in automotive components. Strong growth within the Aftermarket Division required larger warehousing capacity to maintain high customer service levels and offer the opportunity to introduce new working processes. A new 5,500 sq m distribution facility was set up only 500 metres from the existing site.
Link51 installed a racking solution based on 20 racks, providing a total of 142 bays and 6,300 pallet locations. The bay size specifications were adjusted from 2.7m wide to 3.6m, to maximise storage capacity given the mix of europallets and standard pallets received by Mann+Hummel.
