Lucy & Yak, a forward-thinking apparel brand known for its inclusive and gender-neutral clothing options, faced a significant challenge when looking to scale their operations. Initially operating from a 10,000 sq ft facility, the company expanded into a 39,000 sq ft unit in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Despite the increased space, only half of the potential storage capacity was usable due to inefficient layout and stacking methods. To address these inefficiencies, Lucy & Yak decided to invest in a new storage solution. Following a competitive tender process, Lucy & Yak selected static Longspan shelving from Link51 – the solution being recognised for maximising space and improving pick accuracy.
