Heron Cross Primary School
Heron Cross Primary is a large spacious Edwardian school located in Heron Cross, a suburb situated between Blurton and Fenton, in Stoke-on-Trent. With an expanding establishment, the school’s main hall, corridors and classrooms had become increasingly cluttered with children’s personal items, creating an untidy environment of coats, bags, scarves and lunch boxes. Not only did the constant upkeep of these areas have an impact on teaching staff time, health and safety implications created by trip hazards, together with the potential fire safety issues from restricted exits, were of concern.
