Glenmorangie Distillery
Situated on the outskirts of the ancient Burgh of Tain, some 30 miles north of Inverness, the Glenmorangie distillery produces Scotland's favourite single malt whisky. With their premium whisky increasing in popularity around the world, Glenmorangie needed to increase their malt production. The traditional method of storage in dunnage warehouses not only created complex intensive manual handling demands, but would also occupy large swathes of warehousing space.
Based on 75% capacity, Link51 designed a solution to a height of eight levels that provided sužcient space for 4360 sherry butts and 180 port pipes – o‘ering a 40% reduction in space utilisation over dunnage warehousing.
