Bandai Namco
Originally a subsidiary of NAMCO Limited, a multi-billion Yen company involved in the development of amusement machines since 1955.
The company outgrew its 30,000 sq ft Acton premises and had searched for a cost-effective larger solution. Alongside its primary function as a distribution centre for new machines received primarily from the US, the new warehouse was to provide a technical workshop facility for the maintenance and refurbishment of machines. In doing so, it needed to be able to hold a comprehensive stock of small electronic items and spare parts.
Apex carried out site surveys and provided CAD drawings of the proposed open-plan layout of the racking and storage solution. The solution was based on providing 2500 pallet locations – an increase of 25% on previous storage capacity.
